Terms of Service

We monitor network and server resources very closely and we do not allow the following types of hosting or activies on our facilities. Here are some basic rules:

To reduce the risk of attacks, sites of an adult nature are not acceptable on our service without prior approval (artistic, erotic, photograph or ecommerce may be ok - please check beforehand).

Any content considered unlawful will be removed and reported. We may require proof of copyright ownership of any images, media files uploaded on our servers and evidence that model releases have been obtained.

On our shared hosting or reseller platform, JKED are provide a "web hosting" service, which differs to a backup or FTP service. Therefore all content should be accessible from the world wide web and hyperlinked accordingly.

If these simple rules are broken JKED reserve the right to delete your site without refund for the remainder of your year, however we endeavour to provide full warning in advance.

DOMAIN NAMES

The Customer hereby acknowledges that the Customer agrees to, and will fully comply with, the Terms and Conditions of the Registrar company with regard to the processing of any Requests. There are no refunds in respect of domain names successfully registered and where JKED Limited have incurred naming fee's.

Domain Registrations are also subject to the Terms and Conditions of the relevant Domain Registry

PRIVACY:

All data is deemed private and we never sell or share any of your personal information or email addresses. In the case of server breach by hackers/crackers, we are not liable for any stolen data. We of course make every possible effort to prevent this.

CANCELLATIONS:

We require notice in writing in writing of cancellation of at least 14 days so it your monthly hosting is due for renewal on 14 September we will require notification at the beginning of the month. Where we have offered a 30 day money back guarantee then the account must be cancelled within 30 days of signup date.

In the case of annual billing, a generous discount is given for annual payment in exchange for committment. Any refund on a pro-rata basis is therefore at our descretion, and we therefore reserve the right not to make any refund on a pro-rata basis and any refund granted (outside of any 30 day guarantee) will take into account, domain registration fee's, credit card processing and paypal fee's, bandwidth or quota overages (if applicable), technical support time and resources, and a reasonable administration charge which fairly reflect our costs we have incurred inoperating the account.

CREDIT / PAYMENTS

We are unable to offer any form of credit.

If your hosting account or service is activated before payment is made then payment must be made in full by return.

Monthly payments will still be incurred by the user even if the account is suspended for non payment and if we have not received formal notice of cancellation. We collect all due debts.

If an account is cancelled and then re-enabled, we reserve the right to charge an administration fee of £ 50 which will be charged to your account.

Accounts overdue 7 days - all technical support revoked, sites services suspended

Accounts overdue 14 days - sites and data deleted from all systems

During these periods we endeavour to contact you by all means possible. It is the duty, and interests of the customer to maintain accurate and update address, contact and billing information

Should a credit card "chargeback" be performed on your credit card or a paypal transaction reversed all your websites, data and email will be immediately deleted from our systems and a £50 administration charge will be immediately levied to your account.

"FREE" co.uk DOMAIN NAMES WITH WEB HOSTING

Certain web hosting packages benefit from a free co.uk for the first two years. These only apply to new signups. Free Domains are not provided for upgrades.

RENEWALS:

Renewals are NOT automatically billed to your Paypal account. Once your year is up, you'll receive an invoice one week before your renewal date. Your invoice will be due one week after your renewal date. You will receive reminders 2 and 5 days after the due date, and on the 10th day after the due date, your account will be suspended. The account will remain on the server for a few months to allow for renewal during that period, at which point it will be deleted.

BANDWIDTH and SERVER RESOURCES

If bandwidth or data transfer reaches a point where it has an adverse affect on other clients we reserve the right to disable your site/sites until you can reduce your bandwidth usage.

Any shared hosting site consistently using more than 20% of system resources in terms of CPU/RAM etc.. will be suspended. Sites with this level of activity should be hosted on a dedicated or virtual private server.

DATA:

While we do daily backups at this time, we accept no responsibility or liability for lost data in the event of a hard drive failure, operator or file system error.

Official Complaints Procedure

If you are unsatisfied with the service you have received, please send and email to support@jked.net with the word "Complaint" in the subject title. If you have not been able to reach a resolution via email, you can make a formal complaint by writing to the following address, including your account information, and detailing the outstanding complaint:

We will acknowledge your complaint within three working days, an investigation will be carried out into the issues raised and a full response will be provided within ten working days. Where the issue is particularly complex it may take longer to respond. If this is likely, we will provide information on the action which will be taken and advise when you can expect a full response.
